Design Process
The book consists of a manual for writing stories with a humorous, sarcastic tone and a critical look at the culture and history of storytelling and fairy tales. The design of the book is inspired by historical book layouts (like the use of drop caps and ornamental fonts) with a modern twist. 


The content of the book was in alphabetical order, so the goal was to highlight each letter and passage without overpowering the other page on a spread. 


Each spread has a unique and dynamic design to keep the audience surprised and guessing up to the very end.



At the end of the book, there is an index section with the literal definitions of the words highlighted throughout the text. The design of the index has a fully modern approach and is the only place that color is used inside of the book. The last little surprise of the book lies after the index with the ending page. It has an uplifting message for the reader and marks the official ending of the book.
