Dungeons & Dragons Inspired Illustrations

As I mention in multiple places on this website, Dungeons & Dragons is one of my favourite pastimes. It allows me to detach from the real world and lose myself in a place where I can be the hero, and where villains are defeatable. Some of these illustrations depict characters I have played in different campaigns, but most were created for clients who wanted to see their creations come to life. What would you choose to be if the only limit was your imagination?

LenoreLenore is a changeling bard of the College of Spirits. Hailing from the Feywild, she has no memory of her life before the age of eight, when she awoke alone in a graveyard.
After meeting a group of fellow adventurers at a festival, she found herself falsely accused of murdering a princess. Together, they must evade the kingdom's authorities, clear their names, and expose the true architects of the crime: the Halo Chiefs who secretly control the realm.

This is an earlier portrait of Lenore, depicting her at the festival where her life was forever changed.

MarianaMariana is a tiefling way of the long death monk living in a magical world inspired by 1920s England. Drawn into an Agatha Christie–style mystery, she attends the funeral of a wealthy man only for the corpse to disappear without a trace.
Worse still, every guest awakens bearing a strange, rotting mark. Determined to uncover the truth and find a cure for the mysterious disease, Mariana joins forces with several fellow guests to investigate.
But while searching for answers, she must keep one secret hidden from those she has come to trust: she is a vampire.

Of course, she wasn't very successful. Her secret was soon discovered by another party member, a human artificer named Zhina—hence the gun—when Mariana attempted to feed on her while she was asleep.
Mariana, clutching the skull of a wife she doesn’t remember.

ZhinaSpeaking of Zhina; she never encountered a problem she couldn't solve with science. Until she did.
A human artificer and alchemist, Zhina has devoted her entire adult life to one impossible goal: curing death. To her, the idea that humans should die young in a world where magic can reshape reality and elves live for centuries is fundamentally unacceptable. If such wonders are possible, then mortality is simply another problem waiting to be solved.

Hector Firesight Hector is a half-orc druid of the Circle of Stars. He holds a special place in my heart, as he was the first character I played in my first Dungeons & Dragons campaign.
Alongside a group of companions he met at a festival, Hector was wrongly accused of murdering a princess. Now, they must flee from the authorities and prove their innocence while exposing the true villains behind the conspiracy: the Halo Chiefs who rule the kingdom.

This depicts a young Hector reading a story to his daughter, Aurora. Years later, she was killed in a battle against an evil tyrant while trying to save her father's life.

Lucien RoseLucien is a half-elf bard of the College of Glamour and the owner of a successful brothel. They live in a world dominated by religious authority, where anyone deemed different is branded as cursed.
After being lured to an isolated location by a forged letter, Lucien discovered a group of strangers who had fallen victim to the same scheme. Now, they must work together to find a governor's missing daughter while under the threat of blackmail. Failure could mean having their darkest secrets exposed for all to see.

YaviYavi is a fairy ranger from the Feywilds, born into a wealthy family that met a tragic and unexplained end. After their deaths, she withdrew from the world, living in isolation within the Feywilds until she returned to attend the funeral of an old family friend.
But something is terribly wrong: the corpse vanishes without a trace, and every guest awakens bearing a strange, rotting mark. Forced into an uneasy alliance with the other attendees, Yavi sets out to uncover the truth behind the curse—while pursuing answers about the mysterious deaths that destroyed her own family.

Here is a younger Yavi, before her journey began.

Ayda Aguefort Ayda is a phoenix-born wizard from Dimension 20: Fantasy High known for her extraordinary magical power and blunt, socially awkward honesty. She’s the adopted daughter of Principal Aguefort and develops a deep bond with Fig Faeth while learning how to navigate human connection.
Odelia MistgraceOdelia appears as a gentle, innocent Feywild fairy with a soft voice and luminous beauty, often seen drifting through misty glades like a harmless dream. In truth, she is a predatory lure of the Feywild—guiding travelers astray with warmth and wonder before leading them into the forest’s deeper, deadlier enchantments, where few return.

Alfreo
Alfredo is a Tabaxi rogue with a mysterious past, who once lived a quiet life as a chef. Everything changes when he attends the funeral of a wealthy man, only for the corpse to vanish without a trace. Worse still, every guest awakens marked by a strange, rotting affliction.
Determined to uncover the truth and find a cure, Alfredo joins forces with the other guests and is drawn into a dark investigation that threatens to unravel far more than he expected.

CharlotteCharlotte is a half-elf warlock from a fallen noble family, driven by her father’s sudden disappearance after he gambled away their fortune. In desperation, she made a pact with a devil who promised to help her find him, leading her to work as a maid in a wealthy household tied to a mysterious death. At the funeral, the corpse vanishes without a trace, and every guest awakens marked by a strange, rotting affliction. Forced into an uneasy alliance, Charlotte and the others are pulled into a dark investigation that threatens to expose far more than they expected.
